Cala Marçal, is a blue flag beach and is the principal beach of Portocolom. As the busiest it has easy access, it is surrounded by restaurants, bars , hotels and souvenir shops.
S’Arenal is situated near Cala Marçal and is formed by two coves, S’Arenal Gran y S’Arenal Petit.This last cove is more hidden and protected than S’Arenal Gran.
Es Babo beach has transparent clear waters and is in the port, where the fishermans houses have direct access to the sea and is situated towards the lighthouse.
Two unspoilt coves though difficult to access are Cala Estreta and Cala Mitjana.The first as its Mallorcan name suggests is narrow and small.The cove of rocks and white sand is surrounded by cliffs.The other, Cala Mitjana is a spectacular environment of turquoise waters.
It is possible to visit other beaches nearby the picturesque town of Portocolom, Cala Braft 2.5kms away, or Cala Sa Nau a little bit further away at 13 Kms.
Not only does Pto. Colom have many excellent coves, but there are two other places of touristic interest that also should be visited in the area. The lighthouse of Portocolom, Es Riuetó, and the Baños de Cleo.
The lighthouse at Portocolom was constructed in 1860 and lit for the first time in 1863.Situated 42mtres above sea level it is one of the characteristic points of the island.The light house crowns the cliff and it can be readily seen. It also gives a welcome to the boats that enter the port and is an emblematic place to visit equally by day or for a night time stroll.
Es Riuetó is situated in the quieter older part of the town and is a peaceful reminder of former times.
Los Baños de Cleo are to be found on the way to the lighthouse (Faro). This area has little slopes and has there are small pools of sea water formed with the passing of time and action of the waves. It is an area of peace and tranquillity.

This route also visits the monasteries of the XIV century, the Sanctuary of Cura, Sanctuary of Bonani and the hermitage of Santa Lucia and the Monastery of Monte-sion.
It should also be noted, that due to its geographical location, it is an ideal place for numerous water sports from the most sportif to the least energetic. Underwater swimming, windsurfing also golf, hiking or bicycling. The Club Nautico arranges important competitions regattas and shows.
